3. Elective (13 credits)
   • Students may choose up to 9 credits from courses outside the department,but the credits will only be recognized after approval from the department chair, advisor, or thesis supervisor.
4. Degree Conferral

   Completion of the Subject Examination
   • Subjects：Two foundational subjects (Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomic Theory) and one specialized subject (students must complete the related courses (III) or (IV) before being eligible to take the exam).
   • Examination Attempts：Students may take the same foundational subject exam up to three times. The specialized subject exam must be passed within seven semesters. Failure to meet these requirements will result in dismissal from the program.
   Academic Research Ethics Education Course
   Completion of the Degree Examination
   • Students must have at least 10 points from paper presentations to apply for the thesis oral defense.
